The family at this homestay is incredibly welcoming and kind. The food prepared by the lady of the house is absolutely amazing. Don't miss out on the jackfruit curry and Sri Lankan breakfast. The children take you on walks through the beautiful countryside and show you their tree house. The homestay is surrounded by lush, green nature and is conveniently located near the west entrance to Lion's Rock. The father is also willing to give you rides in his tuk tuk or help you with bike rentals. we had a wonderful experience and highly recommend this place. Thank you for the hospitality!
Felt spoiled, no complaints whatsoever.

The location of this homestay is fantastic, with beautiful views of the surrounding rice fields and a nearby lake where you can take a swim. the rooms are clean and well-maintained, with lovely flower decorations and comfortable beds. the hosts are incredibly friendly and helpful, offering rides to different sites and providing useful recommendations. the food served here is delicious and varied, with the option to learn how to prepare traditional dishes. a peaceful and enjoyable stay.
The fan in the rooms could be stronger, but with enough windows open, it's not a major issue.

Wow, what an amazing place! First of all, the hosts were incredibly friendly and made us feel right at home. They went out of their way to ensure we had a comfortable and enjoyable stay. the location was perfect. We were surrounded by lush greenery and there was a beautiful lake nearby where we could relax and swim. Lastly, the food was simply delicious. We got to try authentic Sri Lankan breakfasts that were cooked with love and tasted absolutely amazing. it was a fantastic experience that we would highly recommend to anyone visiting this area.
The only tiny downside was that the fan in our room could have been a bit stronger. However, this was not a major issue as we were able to open the windows and let in some fresh air.

I felt welcomed and taken care of by the host and his family. The homestay itself is nestled in a beautiful location, surrounded by lush greenery and a lovely garden. The room was exactly what I needed, with two comfortable beds that ensured a great night's sleep. The host were pretty good, preparing delicious home-cooked meals for me and providing excellent service throughout my stay. He even took me on a personal tuk-tuk tour to Lions Rock and other sites I wanted to see. When it was time for me to leave, he made sure I boarded the right bus and even gave me a ride in his tuk-tuk. I can't say enough great things about this place and the wonderful hospitality I experienced. STAY HERE!

We had a wonderful time staying at Amba Sewana. The homestay is surrounded by lush rice fields and a beautiful garden with a hammock where we could relax. The friendly family next door made us feel at home and the host went above and beyond to help us with everything we needed, from arranging transportation to providing medicine when we were unwell. The food prepared by Lalitha was absolutely delicious and we even learned how to cook some dishes ourselves. The rooms were clean and tidy with lovely flower decorations. We loved the thoughtful touches like providing light, candles, and cold water. Highly recommended!
Can't recommend this hotel highly enough.

I had a fantastic stay at this homestay! The staff was friendly and accommodating, allowing me to store my bags when I arrived early. The room wasnice and neat, and I was really surprised to find a beautifully decorated bed with fresh flowers. The hotel is located in front of a flowery big garden, which added to the peaceful atmosphere. It is also conveniently located near all the sightseeing spots and the local temple. Transportation was not an issue, as the staff offered tuk-tuk rides to various attractions at a reasonable price. The breakfast provided was fantastic, and upon returning from an early morning climb at sunrise, I was greeted with a delicious and satisfying meal. the cleanliness, hotel facilities, transportation options, convenient location, and breakfast were all great.
Nothing to be said.

What an incredible time we had at this homestay! From the moment we arrived, we felt like part of the family. The father went above and beyond, taking us around in his tuk tuk and showing us all the amazing sights. The mother cooked the most delicious dinner we've had in Sri Lanka. The location is stunning, surrounded by beautiful greenery and close to the main road. The room was clean and comfortable, with a lovely terrace to relax on. The owners were so kind and welcoming, ensuring we had a fantastic stay. Breakfast was a treat every morning, with different options each day. We couldn't have asked for better service or a more authentic experience. Highly recommend this place for a true taste of Sri Lankan hospitality!

The Amba Sewana Homestay has a clean and well-maintained database. The room I stayed in was kept clean and tidy throughout my stay. the room had a balcony, providing a lovely outdoor space to relax and enjoy the surroundings.
One minor issue I encountered during my stay was that the hosts had limited English-speaking abilities, which made communication a bit challenging at times. However, they were still friendly and accommodating, doing their best to assist me despite the language barrier.
